“My goals for 2019 are to go on the photography trip to Chachapoyas, have good grades and improve communication with my family.”

Paul in October 2018:

When I turned 16 I decided to leave Mundo de Niños – the boy home where I used to live in Huanchaco – and to move in with my father and his family. After a while I went to live my uncle but then I moved back to my father’s house and that’s where I’m staying right now. My mother lives in Paijàn, two hours away from Trujillo, and I visit her quite often because I love spending time with her. I am also helping her with some construction work in her house.
I am attending a special high school programme where I only go to school at the weekends, this leaves me a lot of spare time and for this reason I am looking for a part-time job.
I am very happy because I managed to achieve 2 of the 3 goals that I had set myself for 2017: I managed to travel with FairMail on 3 photography trips and I was elected photographer of the year. My picture is now hanging on the wall of the FairMail office and only looking at it makes me very proud. I also had 3 cards on sale, so I couldn’t have asked for a better year in FairMail.
